TimeVista Archaeology is a freelance practice specialising in prehistoric lithics analysis for commercial, non-profit and community-based engagements. Advice is available at any stage of a project lifecycle, from research design through fieldwork best practices to archival curation and dissemination.
TimeVista also engages in fieldwork and excavation – developer-led interventions and watching briefs – as well as in support of community archaeology ventures. TimeVista is experienced in education delivery and training about prehistory, ancient technology and archaeology across all age groups and abilities – including primary and secondary schoolchildren, university students and local volunteers.
“Spencer’s a great supervisor and instinctive trainer. Our Heritage Lottery-funded community excavations at Kiplin Hall in 2014 benefited greatly from his lithics expertise. He trained up the volunteers, the under tens to the over seventies, and thanks to his specialist report we can also tell the story of over 8,000 years of human activity next to the River Swale.”
– Jim Brightman MCIfA, Director, Solstice Heritage
